Peace With Islam

This is article # 9 in a series I am posting on my web site in a journal called Islam-Overview.  I think it is appropriate to post this particular article here with the election of the Democrats.  I read a poll yesterday that said that 69% of those identifying as Democrats believe that negotiation is the answer...not war. Pelosi has even claimed that if we were not over there...the problem would go away.

Muhammad is reported to have said that war is deceit:

This basically means that Muslims can use lies and deception when they feel that they are in war against the unbelievers. There is no greater proof for this than what we find in the Quran.  However, as we shall see, there is express contradiction to this found elsewhere in the Quran.  Muslims explain this away by using the term abrogation, meaning that Allah had changed his mind prior to the Quran being revealed in its final form.

For example, the Quran permits Muslims to accept a peace treaty from the unbelievers whom they are fighting:    But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and (put your) trust in God. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. (Sura 8:61)  Ibn Kathir, considered to be one of Islam’s premier exegetes (one who has received divine knowledge) wrote:

The Command to Facilitate Peace when the Enemy seeks a Peaceful Resolution:  Allah says, if you fear betrayal from a clan of people, then sever the peace treaty with them, so that both of you are on equal terms. If they continue being hostile and opposing you, then fight them, …

If they resort to reconciliation, and seek a treaty of non hostility, … <you also incline to it>, and accept offers of peace from them as well as, accepting other terms of peace they brought forth.  Allah says, conduct a peace treaty with those who incline to peace, and trust in Allah.  Allah said next, Allah will suffice for you and aid you even if they resort to peace as a trick, so that they gather and reorganize their forces…

This is expressly contradicted by the following text:

So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islâm), while you are having the upper hand. God is with you, and will never decrease the reward of your good deeds. (Sura 47:35)

Muslims are commanded not to seek peace with the unbelievers, provided that they are the more dominant party! As the tafsir of Ibn Abbas states:

(So do not falter) do not weaken, O believer, upon fighting the disbelievers (and cry out for peace) and it is said this means: for Islam before fighting (when you (will be) the uppermost) when you are the victorious and the ultimate consequence will be in your favour, (and Allah is with you) He helps you to defeat your enemy, (and He will not grudge (the reward of) your actions) and He will not diminish the works in which you engage during Jihad.

The two renowned Sunni commentators al-Jalalayn agree:

So do not falter, [do not] be weak, and [do not] call for peace (read salm or silm), that is to say, a truce with the disbelievers should you encounter them, when you have the upper hand  [when you are] the victors, the vanquishers, and God is with you, helping and assisting, and He will not stint you, diminish you, in [the reward for] your works, that is to say, of the reward for them.

This is a blatant contradiction with (Sura 8:61)!

In order to reconcile the obvious contradiction between these two conflicting injunctions some Muslims have resorted to the doctrine of abrogation, i.e. that Sura 8:61 has been abrogated:

And if they incline to peace (read silm or salm, meaning, 'settlement'), then incline to it, and conclude a pact with them: Ibn 'Abbas said, 'This has been abrogated by the "sword verse” [Q. 2:191]'; Mujahid said, 'This [stipulation] applies exclusively in the context of the People of the Scripture, for it was revealed regarding the Banu Qurayza; and rely on God, put your trust in Him; truly He is the Hearer, of words, the Knower, of actions.

Abrogation is nothing more than an implicit admission that the Quran is contradicting itself, just as one Muslim candidly admitted:

The principle on which the theory of abrogation is based is unacceptable, being contrary to the clear teachings of the Qur'an. A verse is considered to be abrogated when the two cannot be reconciled with each other; in other words, when they appear to contradict each other. But the Qur’an destroys this foundation when it declares that no part of it is at variance with another: "Will they not then meditate on the Qur’an? And if it were from any other than Allah, they would have found in it many a discrepancy" (Sura 4 : 82). It was due to lack of meditation that one verse was thought to be at variance with another; and hence it is that in almost all cases where abrogation has been upheld by one person, there has been another who, being able to reconcile the two, has repudiated the alleged abrogation.

… The principle laid down in this passage - relating to the supersession of the Biblical dispensation by that of the Qur’an - has given rise to an erroneous interpretation by many Muslim theologians. The word ayah ('message') occurring in this context is also used to denote a ‘verse’ of the Qur’an (because every one of these verses contains a message). Taking this restricted meaning of the term ayah, some scholars conclude from the above passage that certain verses of the Qur’an have been ‘abrogated’ by God’s command before the revelation of the Qur’an was completed. Apart from the fancifulness of this assertion - WHICH CALLS TO MIND THE IMAGE OF A HUMAN AUTHOR CORRECTING, ON SECOND THOUGHT, THE PROOFS OF HIS MANUSCRIPT, deleting one passage and replacing it with another - there does not exist a single reliable Tradition to the effect that the Prophet ever declared a verse of the Qur’an to have been ‘abrogated’. At the root of the so-called ‘doctrine of abrogation’ MAY LIE THE INABILITY OF SOME EARLY COMMENTATORS TO RECONCILE ONE QUR'ANIC PASSAGE WITH ANOTHER; a difficulty which was overcome by declaring that one of the verses in question had been ‘abrogated’. This arbitrary procedure explains also why there is no unanimity whatsoever among the upholders of the ‘doctrine of abrogation’ as to which, and how many, Qur’an-verses have been affected by it; and furthermore, as to whether this alleged abrogation implies a total elimination of the verse from the context of the Qur’an, or only a cancellation of the specific ordinance or statement contained in it. In short, the ‘doctrine of abrogation’ has no basis in historical fact, and must be rejected.

More importantly, (Sura 47:35) not only commands against making peace but also provides the model for Muslims to follow today. The text expressly says that Muslims are not to seek for peace if they have the upper hand, which implies that if they are not in a position of dominance then the injunction of Sura 8:61 should be implemented. In the words of Ibn Kathir:

<So do not lose heart>, meaning, do not be weak concerning the enemies…

<and beg for peace>, meaning, compromise, peace, and ending the fighting between you and the disbelievers while you are in a position of power, both in great numbers and preparation…

<So do not lose heart and beg for peace while you are superior.>

meaning, in the condition of your superiority over your enemy. If, on the other hand, the disbelievers are considered more powerful and numerous than the Muslims, then the Imam (general commander) may decide to hold a treaty if he judges that it entails a benefit for the Muslims. This is like what Allah’s Messenger did when the disbelievers obstructed him from entering Makkah (Mecca) and offered him treaty in which all fighting would stop between them for ten years…

This exegesis implies that these texts are not contradictory and that one command isn’t abrogating the other. Rather, the verses are referring to different conditions and situations which make one passage applicable as opposed to the other. In other words, if the disbelievers outnumber the Muslims then the latter should accept and seek for peace per Sura 8:61. On the other hand, if the Muslims are greater in number and power then they must not pursue peace but seek to subjugate the unbelievers per Sura 47:35!

What this essentially means is that Muslims living in the West can pursue a course of peace with their unbelieving neighbors since the latter clearly outnumber the former. Yet when the Muslims muster enough power and wealth to overcome the "infidels" they will be forced to abandon peace and seek to conquer the disbelievers instead.

In particular, this Islamic teaching destroys any basis for trust in peace treaties made by Muslims. They are never thought to be lasting but only until such time as the Muslims feel strong enough that it is to their advantage to break the peace and attack the unbelievers again. For this reason Islam does not know genuine peace treaties with non-Muslims, i.e. peace treaties that end war once and for all, but only temporary truces that can be dissolved at any time. Is it any wonder that Muhammad is quoted as saying that war is deceit!

There are hadiths that explicitly state that lying is allowed in Jihad to expand the rule of Allah over the infidels, by all means, military and non-military. The late Christian scholar of Islam and biographer of Muhammad, Sir William Muir wrote:

The common Moslem belief is that it is allowable to tell a falsehood on four occasions: 1st, to save one's life; 2nd, to effect a peace or reconciliation; 3rd, to persuade a woman; 4th, on the occasion of a journey or expedition.

The first is borne out by Mahomet’s express sanction. Ammar ibn Yasir was sorely persecuted by the pagans of Mecca, and denied the faith for his deliverance. The Prophet approved of his conduct:- "If they do this again, then repeat the same recantation to them again." Katib al Wackidi; p. 227 ½.. Another tradition preserved in the family of Yasir, is as follows:- "The idolators seized Ammar, and they let him not go until he had abused Mahomet and spoken well of their gods. He then repaired to the Prophet, who asked of him what had happened." - "Evil, oh Prophet of the Lord! I was not let go until I had abused thee, and spoken well of their gods." - "But how," replied Mahomet, "dost thou find thine own heart?" - "Secure and steadfast in the faith." - "Then," said Mahomet, "if they repeat the same, do thou' too repeat the same." Ibid. Mahomet also said that Ammar's lie was better than Abu Jahl’s truth.

The second is directly sanctioned by the following tradition:- "That person is not a liar who makes peace between two people, and speaks good words to do away their quarrel, although they should be lies.

However, a military war is not the only way that Muslims seek to enforce their laws on a society. War can have many faces. Similar to the above, the Muslim community in a non-Muslim country may pretend to be law-abiding and loyal to constitution (i.e. talk peace) while they are small and weak, but simply ignore, or even attack and destroy, the laws of their host country when they become stronger. The article The Islamization of Europe's Cities is a disturbing report.

Moreover, the problem is not even so much the statement that "war is deceit". In war, all armies seek to gain an advantage by surprising the enemy. Whether morally justified or not, tricks and deception are expected in war. The real problem is that based on the above facts one can hardly avoid the conclusion that in Islam "peace is deceit", i.e. the "peace talk" of Muslims is deceit, because the Muslims do not seek genuine and lasting peace that includes freedom and security for the non-Muslims, particularly the freedom of religion, but only seek to buy time and the opportunity to regroup and gain strength until they are strong enough to subjugate the infidels and force them under the rule of Islam. That certainly cannot be called "seeking peace".

Basically, these texts justify lying to the non-Muslims all the time.

The renowned Muslim philosopher Abu Hammid Ghazali says:

"Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible."

What makes it hard to understand is that many Muslims who have fled the desperate and insecure situations in their home countries and came to the west to have a better life are now destroying the institutions of these countries and create the same anarchy here, the same kind of environment that they originally left in order to live in a better place.

Whatever the case may be this remains certain: no matter what method one employs in trying to understand the implementation of these conflicting texts, the Quran and the religion of Islam clearly spell trouble for non-Muslims.  We can clearly see this happening today in Europe

Deja Vu 1972?

For the past two days I have read and listened to all the pundit's reasons why Republicans lost so big in the elections.  In spite of the fact that the Republicans stopped dancing with the one who brung ’em, by allowing larger government, not dealing with the illegal immigration issue, etc., and trying to rationalize our thumping by claiming conservatism was not defeated, I believe the overriding reason is the war in Iraq and terrorism.

  • Also in the past two days I have been battling a little depression brought on by a sense of déjà vu over Vietnam…I was there when we limped home in shame.  I pray that we as a nation do not have to experience that again.  The stage has certainly been set for it.

America is not ruthless enough when we decide to go to war.  The American public has no stomach for long, protracted warfare on a limited scale which invariably leads to political stalemate.  There are far too many people in this country that believe that the issue of terrorism can be negotiated...not once giving a thought to whom we are fighting.  Islam is a religion of peace they cry...never understanding that peace in Islam means SUBMISSION!  We have to be ruthless and KILL them where they stand.  The only thing they respect is power.

Their goal is world domination and they are winning that war at the moment. American elections are normally about local issues, I think it was nationalized this time around by the incessant pounding by Liberals and the media about the war in Iraq.  Republicans did not do enough to get the real message out and the administration has appeared as arrogant to many people  relying far too much on a base which they have ignored for the most part, to bail them out.

Have we not learned through multiple cases in history that appeasement never works?  It appears now that we are going to learn that very painful lesson one more time.  The next two years should prove very interesting for those of us who care about more substantive issues than who will be kicked off ‘American Idol’ or the latest hi-jinks of Paris Hilton and the personal life of Britney Spears.  As conservatives, we can only pray that someone will emerge as a viable candidate for ’08 that can galvanize conservatives once more…frankly, I don’t see anyone on the scene capable of doing that at the present.

US-Led Vast Naval Deployment

  • Following up with my last post 'War Will ComeThe North', I want to call attention to information that is being broadly disseminated in the Mid-East by Adnkronos International, DEBKAfiles and various other media sources including Israel.  I don't remember anything about this being reported by the U.S. media.  (Perhaps they are so busy campaigning for Democrats to be bothered with reporting news?)  I am surprised that they haven't cherry-picked this information for presentation in their bash-Bush rhetoric.

Hundreds of US and allied war ships foregathered in the strategic seas of the Middle East and India in the last days of October 2006 for two primary missions: To prepare for a US-led military strike against Iran which has stepped up its uranium enrichment program with a second centrifuge project - undeterred by the prospect of UN sanctions; and measures to fend off palpable al Qaeda threats to oil targets.

Various military sources have provided details of the massive deployments:

1. A large-scale US-Indian sea exercise called Malabar 06 is in progress off the Indian coast of Goa, ending Nov. 5. The American vessels taking part are the USS Boxer carrier, the USS Bunker Hill guided missile battle cruiser, the guided missile destroyer USS Howard and the USS Benfold , as well as the Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarine Providence and the Canadian guided missile frigate HMCS Ottawa .

Malabar also involves the landing of large number of soldiers ashore, ahead of the Indian acquisition of the massive amphibious USS Trenton transport dock which can carry six helicopters and about a 1000 soldiers.

Our Teheran sources report that last Thursday, Oct. 26, Iranian officials were seriously rattled by a rumor that an Iranian spy plane had located the USS Boxer heading for the Persian Gulf. It prompted fears of an imminent American military assault to lift Republican prospects in the coming US midterm elections of Nov. 7. In any case, the Iranians suspect that at the end of the joint US-Indian exercise in the Arabian Sea, Boxer will veer west and head into the Persian Gulf. There would then be four US air carriers with task forces parked opposite Iranian shores, including the USS Enterprise Strike Group, the USS Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Group and the USS Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, which are already in place.

According to the intelligence reaching Iran, the Boxer and its escorts carry 850 Marines who have just spent months in special training for operations on offshore oil rigs and platforms.

2. American, Italy, France, Britain, Australia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait are taking part in an exercise practicing the interception of ships carrying nuclear materials or components for use in advanced weapons. The exercise opposite Bahrain is the first to be held in the Persian Gulf under the three-year old proliferation security initiative. It applications could be translated equally into the enforcement of sanctions against North Korea, which conducted its first nuclear test on Oct. 9, or Iran.

On Oct. 27, Robert Joseph, the US undersecretary of state for arms control remarked: “From Iranian news reports we know the exercise got the attention of Iran.” But rather than climbing down, Tehran referred two days later to the war games as “adventurous” and placed its armed forces on a high alert which encompassed the joint naval units of the military and Revolutionary Guards in the Persian Gulf, while the Revolutionary Guards, the Iranian army, navy and air force were placed on “yellow” alert, one level short of full war.

Also Oct. 29, , supreme ruler Ayatollah Ali Khamenei replaced Iran’s air force chief, Karim Qavami with Brig Gen Capt Ahmad Miqani, on the recommendation of the Revolutionary Guards commander.

Iran sources report that Khamenei did not approve of Qavami’s admiration for America’s military capabilities – especially the US air force’s advanced aircraft and equipment. Qavami was wont to speak out at general staff meetings in favor of procuring a new air fleet the better to stand up to a possible US attack. His successor follows the supreme ruler unquestioningly and has complete faith in the ability of Iran's Air Forces to counter American attacks.

3. Saudi Arabia did not join the multinational Bahrain exercise, but instead mustered its entire navy and all its special forces for deployment in dense defensive array around the biggest oil terminal in the world, at Ras Tanura. Riyadh acted in response to tangible intelligence that al Qaeda is preparing to attack its oil installations.

Warnings have intensified in recent days of impending al Qaeda attacks on the oil fields, oil ports, oil tankers and oil fields of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian oil emirates. One threat specifically targets the Bahraini offices and staff of the Benin Republic’s Societe Togolaise de Gaz and Societe Bengaz S.A.

4. The fourth major naval concentration is deployed in the Red Sea along Saudi Arabia’s west coast. The oil kingdom has placed its military and fleet at their highest level of preparedness for Al Qaeda-instigated terrorist attacks along this coast, particularly at the ports of Jeddah and Yanbu.

The Mossad’s counter-terror sources report: That the Saudis have by and large switched their defenses against al Qaeda to coastal targets indicates the receipt of intelligence input of a new local sea base established by al Qaeda, which enables the jihadist group to stretch its capabilities for assaulting oil and Western shore targets from the sea. This base might be located on the shore of a Gulf nation, somewhere in the Arabian Sea or in the Horn of Africa.

War Will Come From The North-3rd of 3 Articles

  • This is the last of three articles written by an Israeli, from the  premise that either an attack by Iran on Israel or an American attack on Iran's nuclear facilities is pre-imminent.  Some of his projections, predictions and outcomes are controversial at best.  One thing I do believe most strongly, Israel cannot afford to merely sit by and watch Iran reach nuclear weapon capability and not take action.  The timing of such an action is the only question mark.
  • As recently as yesterday, Russia is strongly opposed to any sanctions against Iran...as a veto member of the UN Security Council...sanctions is thus removed from the list of action options.  The use of military force looms larger and larger.
Ruvy from Jerusalem in Desicrits and published by Blogocrtics:

HizbAllah did what I expected and  reasserted its control over south Lebanon, barring UN access to a good part of the territory under its control. Last week,  there was a confrontation between a German ship in the huge flotilla off Lebanon and two Israeli F16's. And there has been a major change adopted in the Israeli system of government. The next president will be a powerful official in the government.

At the end of September, events began moving in a direction that did not surprise me, except for their speed in developing.

Two or three battle groups of the American fleet started sailing for this part of the world, in what ostensibly were to be battle exercises, called "war games." They arrived here a few days ago, which is when DEBKAfiles reported on them. At first they were announced to be part of what the Americans had called them, "war games." But on 30 October, DEBKAfiles was singing a different tune.

Some of the words of the new song go like this:

Hundreds of US and allied war ships foregathered in the strategic seas of the Middle East and India in the last days of October 2006 for two primary missions: To prepare for a US-led military strike against Iran which has stepped up its uranium enrichment program with a second centrifuge project - undeterred by the prospect of UN sanctions; and measures to fend off palpable al Qaeda threats to oil targets.

It is highly doubtful that Al Qaeda will strike at oil targets owned by the family of ibn Sa'úd, the thugs who rule Arabia. They are two branches of the same outfit, the Wahhabi war machine that is trying to spread its version of "Islam" using every method possible. But you cannot convince secular intelligence analysts who dismiss religion of this. In their eyes, everything has a price and all one need do is to discover the price and find a way to pay the price, and whatever one desires is theirs. War in the service of a messianic ideal, such as we see from Iran, or war based on conscience and long range planning, such as we see out of Saudi Arabia, is just not within the mind-set of the secular Jews in DEBKAfiles. All they understand is money and power. It should never be forgotten that DEBKAfiles is the Mossad's back door news service.

So the fleet off of Lebanon and the massive U.S. buildup off of Iran and India are to deal with Iran - and what else?

The "what else" is what this article is all about.

Expecting an attack from Iran - Stage 2 of the "rocket therapy"

Part of the "what else" is that this country will be attacked by Iran if the United States attacks Iran. We've already been attacked by the Iranians via the good offices of their lapdogs, HizbAllah. That was the "rocket therapy" that changed many Israeli minds about "peace" and "roadmaps" and the other trash that foreign powers try to shove down our throats, always with the "best of intentions." The Iranians learned something very important via that rocket barrage over the summer - they learned that this country has no effective shield to stop incoming rockets and missiles.

But this attack will be more severe. No matter what weapons the Americans use to attack Iran, the Iranians will somehow manage to destroy a good part of this country when they do attack us.

Spitting in G-d's face

Another part of the "what else" is that Israeli government officials spitting in G-d's face will not continue with impunity. What do I mean by this? The expulsion of Jews from Gush Qatif was spitting in G-d's face; so was the expulsion of Jews from 'Amona; so were the arrests of teenagers who protested these expulsions and more importantly, the unjust way that due process was perverted to hold these kids in jail for months on end with no reason. Recently, 20 people were expelled from their homes on administrative detention orders and in addition, kids putting up posters protesting this act were arrested. Recently, orders were given for the destruction of more homes in Samaria, not too far away from here, in fact. The date of the destruction was 31 October, and it has not occurred. This is a sign that the ability of the Israeli government to carry out its directives is indeed beginning to collapse, particularly when they spit in G-d's face.

There is another act of spitting in G-d's face, a pagan provocation painted up as a "gay pride parade". An event like this has historic significance in New York; there it commemorates an actual occurrence where homosexuals refused to tolerate police harassment. But in Jerusalem, it is merely spitting in G-d's face, purposely pursuing the kind of event that would take place in a pagan temple in His holy city. Briefly, what I am getting at (and this is a very controversial assertion to make) is that it was normal to have sexual orgies of various kinds in pagan temples in Canaan, and it was this behavior that was targeted in the Torah. The mentality of the secular Israeli élite that ru(i)ns this country is such that not only do they have to pour contempt on their religious brothers, they have to stick their middle finger up at G-d, too. What goes on in the rest of the world is one thing. Here, in the Land gifted to the Children of Israel by the Creator of the Universe, showing off homosexual relations where it can be witnessed is an abomination (/ 18:22) that has consequences for those who do it and for those who allow it done (/ 18:24-28).

This parade is scheduled for 10 November, the day that the Nazis destroyed synagogues and homes in Germany in 1938 (), and began serious and violent persecution of Jews in there. So not only is G-d's face being spat into by these fools, the memory of the Jews who died on 9-10 November 1938, is also being defaced. We will return to this date, for it is of some significance.

The ratcheting up of tensions in the Middle East and Central Asia - spreading the gunpowder

Generally unreported in the media has been the ratcheting up of tensions all across western and central Asia. Michel , who covers this field from an anti-Israel perspective, has been keeping a close watch on the real rulers of North America and what they have been up to lately.

If one peruses Global , one learns, among other things, that the United States now is in a situation where the president there can declare martial law with the stroke of a pen. And now we reach the nub of the "what else."

There will be elections in the United States on 7 November, and it is likely that the Bush administration will be crippled in these elections by losing control of Congress. One article there speculates,

The political stakes are high. If the Republicans lose control of the House, John Congers would become the Chairman of the powerful Judiciary Committee where he would wield the power to launch investigations into any of several potentially impeachable offenses. If the Republicans lose control of the Senate, Senator Ted Kennedy would become Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and he could launch public hearings into the scandals now swirling around of the Bush White House. Imagine: Ted Kennedy presiding over an official investigation into Bush's clandestine eavesdropping, wiretapping and mail-openings aimed at US citizens or the torture cases of Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib. There are plenty of potentially explosive scandals, and the Republicans realize that they could face the political Apocalypse if they lose the midterm elections this November. Their fears are driving them to draft plans for a political  of their own, replete with nuclear weapons and a president who has recently refused to remove the 'nuclear option' from the negotiating table."

If the elections in the States do not take place, or have to be delayed because of an event that is of overriding concern, an event which precipitates a declaration of martial law, many of the problems that dealing with an unruly legislative opposition will be solved. This brings us to the key point of this article.

Why war may well be imminent

It's all a matter of what's on the calendar. The event that needs to take place to cause a declaration of martial law in the United States is an attack of some kind either in the United States or in the Persian Gulf. It needs to be significant - significant enough to cause a significant response, not to mention significant enough to give an unpopular president enough wiggle room to garner support for a declaration of martial law at home. The plans are already in the works for an attack on Iran. The ships are there, the warplanes are there. The gunpowder is already sitting around the explosives - all that is needed is the lit match.

So the scenario runs this way. An event does occur. It is enough of an event to "convince" the administration in the United States to declare martial law and put whatever plans it has drawn up for an attack on Iran into effect.

From the point of view of an American administration flunky, this can be anytime from now until the next congress takes office in January, 2007. One needs to be flexible in one's plans. It would be nice if the event took place before 7 November, so as to give the party of the president a boost in the polls, but if it takes place afterwards, then the congress can be dissolved and martial law declared afterwards.

Now, we get back to that "pride parade" in Jerusalem, the pagan provocation scheduled for 10 November. It is my guess that events will conspire to prevent its being held. It was originally scheduled for the summer of 2005 but the expulsion of Jewish residents from Gaza used up the security personnel that would have been needed to secure the homosexuals' safety in Jerusalem. And make no mistake about it; this parade is not at all popular here. The government is planning to pull most of the border guards out of Judea and Samaria to protect the homosexuals who wish to march.

An event that would be sure to cause the cancelation of this parade would be a missile attack on this country. To get that missile attack, you need the provocation to cause it - an American attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

So let us look at some dates that would be useful to accomplish the goals, of both causing a cancelation of the pagan provocation parade in Jerusalem, and nullifying a congressional election in the States, either the election itself, or its results. Let us also bear in mind that if this is a Divine Mind planning all this, there will be a grim sense of humor to it all, something to give Jews who do pay attention to the calendar (like me) reason to pay more attention. There is already one date that falls into the grim humor category, the date of the parade. The parade itself scheduled for a Friday. One can expect the "celebrants" to begin partying down in their hotels on 9 November, a Thursday night, which in Israel is a lot like Friday night is in America and Europe, the opening of the weekend. The  (Friday night to Saturday evening) after the parade is  , the  when one reads in the Torah of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The  before the parade is  Leah , when one reads in the Torah about a major regional conflict in which Abraham plays a role. A grim sense of humor would be to begin a major regional conflict after  Leah  and before  . To a non-Jew looking at his calendar, that means between 4 November and 9 November 2006.

And after the explosion?

There is one "what else" that has not yet been dealt with. What are all these European soldiers and marines going to do if they are not going to attack Iran? They are going to come here as peace keepers of one variety or another. Their job will be to see to it that we here finally lose our sovereignty, while the Arabs get to live under a neo-colonial regime that doesn't care a whit about them. And what will all those American fighting men be doing here after they have nuked Iran? They will come here to make sure the Europeans don't get too big a hunk of the place. Once Iran is dealt with, the Bush administration can "" the conflict in Iraq and send a lot of its boys west in trucks and tanks to Jordan to keep a close eye on us - and the Europeans.

Buried deep in this Chicago Tribune article from 5 October is the fact that a German naval patrol sits off the Horn of Africa. Why?

I'm only speculating here, but given that the Horn of Africa is south of , these ships can sail into the Red Sea and secure it for the Europeans. What I'm getting at is there will be competition between the Europeans and the Americans that will eventually break out into open conflict between them.

I'm not saying that the European forces will move in right away, or that the American forces will move in right away. But I am saying that the stage will have been set, and within a short time after the Iranian beast having been defanged, this country will lose its sovereignty.

JERUSALEM – Everybody has an opinion about next Tuesday's midterm congressional election in the U.S. – including senior terrorist leaders interviewed by WND who say they hope Americans sweep the Democrats into power because of the party's position on withdrawing from Iraq a move, as they see it, that ensures victory for the worldwide Islamic resistance. [ Read Full Story ]

Terror leaders reject Nancy Pelosi's comments on Iraqi insurgency  Being a chemist.

Many Democratic politicians and some from the Republican Party have stated a withdrawal from Iraq would end the insurgency there.

In a recent interview with CBS's "60 Minutes," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, stated, "The jihadists (are) in Iraq. But that doesn't mean we stay there. They'll stay there as long as we're there."

Pelosi would become House speaker if the Democrats win the majority of seats in next week's elections.

WND read Pelosi's remarks to the terror leaders, who unanimously rejected her contention an American withdrawal would end the insurgency.

Islamic Jihad's Saadi, laughing, stated, "There is no chance that the resistance will stop."

He said an American withdrawal from Iraq would "prove the resistance is the most important tool and that this tool works. The victory of the Iraqi revolution will mark an important step in the history of the region and in the attitude regarding the United States."

Jihad Jaara said an American withdrawal would "mark the beginning of the collapse of this tyrant empire (America)."

"Therefore, a victory in Iraq would be a greater defeat for America than in Vietnam."

Jaara said vacating Iraq would also "reinforce Palestinian resistance organizations, especially from the moral point of view. But we also learn from these (insurgency) movements militarily. We look and learn from them."

Hamas' Abu Abdullah argued a withdrawal from Iraq would "convince those among the Palestinians who still have doubts in the efficiency of the resistance."

"The victory of the resistance in Iraq would prove once more that when the will and the faith are applied victory is not only a slogan. We saw that in Lebanon (during Israel's confrontation against Hezbollah there in July and August); we saw it in Gaza (after Israel withdrew from the territory last summer) and we will see it everywhere there is occupation," Abdullah said.

While the terror leaders each independently urged American citizens to vote for Democratic candidates, not all believed the Democrats would actually carry out a withdrawal from Iraq.

Saadi stated, "Unfortunately I think those who are speaking about a withdrawal will not do so when they are in power and these promises will remain electoral slogans. It is not enough to withdraw from Iraq. They must withdraw from Afghanistan and from every Arab and Muslim land they occupy or have bases."

He called both Democrats and Republicans "agents of the Zionist lobby in the U.S."

Abu Abdullah commented once Democrats are in power "the question is whether such a courageous leadership can [withdraw]. I am afraid that even after the American people will elect those who promise to leave Iraq, the U.S. will not do so. I tell the American people vote for withdrawal. Abandon Israel if you want to save America. Now will this Happen? I do not believe it."

Still Jihad Jaara said the alternative is better than Bush's party.

War Will Come From The North - 2nd of 3 Articles

All of the media and the blogosphere are dedicated to the upcoming elections and rightfully so.  I have done all I can do this election, I have voted early, gave as much as I could afford to support Conservative candidates and headed an effort at the grass-roots to get out ten voters from the Conservative bloc.  All that is left for me to do is wait and see what the results on Tuesday will be.

In the meantime, what to do about Iran is still on the burner.  That is the reason for the three articles (last one tomorrow) that I am posting in an effort to gain more insight into what is actually happening there.   I believe that Iran with nuclear weapons is the single most dangerous phenomenon that the world faces.  As you can see from this article, there are those in Israel that believe America is willing to offer them up as appeasement and deferral of war with Iran.  I sincerely hope they are wrong!

Article from Blogocritics
Written by Ruvy in Jerusalem

On 6 September, I cited a DEBKAfiles report of a naval buildup off south Lebanon, DEBKAfile analyzed the buildup as part of a joint American - NATO - Israeli plan to attack Iran, and possibly Syria. I read the same piece and offered a different analysis entirely.

Israel lifted her blockades on 8 and 9 September, a fact widely reported in the mainstream media. This AP rip and read that appeared in the Argus and elsewhere on 7 September, states that Israel had said it would not end the blockade until a beefed up U.N. force in southern Lebanon could prevent arms shipments to Hezbollah.

The beefed up U.N. force mentioned in the article was presumably the naval force that DEBKAfiles mentioned on 4 September along with UNIFIL troops that were taking positions near and around the Litani River.

Debka Changes Its Dance Steps

On 9 September, DEBKAfiles reported how this beefed up naval force was operating in reality with respect to the rearming of HizbAllah by Iran via Syria.

In its initial paragraphs, it talked about how Iran had sent arms to Beirut airport and how a misunderstanding of sorts took place where the (Lebanese) Saniora regime did not follow the agreement reached between Kofi Annan and the Israeli government. According to the deal that had been struck between Israel and the UN, the Lebanese government was to allow international inspection of cargo coming into Beirut International Airport. Instead, the Lebanese prime minister immediately barred the airport to UN inspections. The five German air monitors agreed on were only allowed to establish a checkpoint for controlling arms smuggling at a distance of one kilometer from the international airport. DEBKAfile reports they are helpless to intervene because the trucks carrying forbidden cargo are using alternative routes to bypass their checkpoints.

The report further details that the promised Italian, French, and Greek naval presence, on the strength of which Israel lifted its air blockade, has been pushed by the Lebanese government out to sea and restricted to a 12-km radius from the coast. Thus European warships can keep an eye on big freighters approaching Lebanese ports but cannot keep track of the small vessels reaching Lebanon ports from the northern Syrian ports of Tartus (the Biblical Tarshish) and Latakia.

That is where Iranian cargo vessels have been unloading large quantities of arms for HizbAllah outside the European fleet's limits in the last two weeks. Furthermore, Friday, as soon as Israel was persuaded to lift its sea blockade, three Lebanese and Syrian ships crammed with arms for HizbAllah departed the northern Lebanese port of Tripoli and after a short voyage hugging the Lebanese coast put into the southern Lebanese port of Sidon, where willing HizbAllah hands unloaded their cargo.

On land, the Lebanese-Syrian border is wide open. Three or four arms truck convoys cross into Lebanon every day.

This naval force was pushed out to sea by the Lebanese government? With what; feathers? That is like saying that the naval forces of the Principality of Lichtenstein (a land-locked country about the size of Manhattan) forced the American Sixth Fleet to evacuate the Adriatic Sea. Sure… Pigs will come rocketing over nearby hedges soon. Watch it! That big sow almost hit you!

So much for the analysis of the cut-rate, "you-have-an-uncle-in-the-business" former Mossad analysts.

The naval force is not there to help control HizbAllah at all. It is not there to stop Iran from extending its power to the Mediterranean. The naval force voluntarily moved out beyond 12 kilometers.  I assert that this fleet is there to protect HizbAllah and assist with the Iranian rearming of its cat's paw on the Mediterranean.

The explanation is complicated, but essential to understand.  First, you need to look back into European history about seventy years or so. Having done this, you then need to check back to an April analysis in the Telegraph by Amir Taheri of the motives of the Ahmadinejad regime, review the strengths and weaknesses of Ahmadinejad, as well as check out where former leaders of Iran have been traveling recently, and who they have been talking to, and what they have been saying.

Opening the Curtain

At DEBKAfiles, right near the report on arms shipments, cited above, is another report on Ehud Olmert reviving the "Road Map" he had discarded a few days earlier, apparently without the permission of his overlords in Washington. This article is called, "Olmert's belated discovery of a serious breach with Washington prompted him to disinter the Middle East roadmap." Faced with withering criticism from American state department officials detailed in the DEBKAfile article, he now talks about setting up a meeting with the chairman of the "Palestinian" Authority "without conditions" according to the Hebrew edition of Yediot Ahronot last Sunday. In a press release, the Israel's deputy prime minister, Shimon Peres, talked about possibly withdrawing from northern Samaria.

So kicking Jews out of Judea and Samaria IS back on the government's agenda, after all.

Olmert will need help with this, if he even survives the budget fights, criminal investigations, and investigations for military incompetence that he faces in the wake of losing this round with HizbAllah. It is not a sure thing that he will. A far more intelligent puppet leader is Shimon Peres. But let's hold that thought for just a bit. First, we need to take that trip down memory lane.

Deferring War For a Price

Back in 1938, Germany, France, and England agreed to defer fighting a war. The price of the deferral? Czechoslovakia was put on the chopping block. Some will say that the prime minister of Great Britain honestly believed that he had bought "peace in our time" and it may be true, but the French premier, Hitler, and the generals in all the armies knew otherwise.

In 1939, the Soviet Union and Germany agreed to defer fighting a war. The price of the deferral? Poland went on the chopping block, split between the Soviet Union and Germany. In the latter case, there were no delusions on either side. Stalin was as determined to rule the world as Hitler, and the aides who shook hands and signed on the dotted line both knew this as well.

And Iran's Connection?

Taheri's analysis in the Telegraph essentially says that Ahmadinejad is a messianic leader who is alleged to have met the Mahdi, the Shia version of the messiah, and his strategy is primarily designed to delay an American strike on Iran until Iran is capable of answering it if not in kind (remember, America has thousands, if not tens of thousands of missiles), then with something that will seem in kind. This is not altogether different with from the deferral strategy pursued by the various powers in Europe in the late 1930's. In essence Ahmadinejad has to shuck and jive to defer a war.

Ahmadinejad's Strengths and Weaknesses

Bear in mind that Ahmadinejad has a regime based on three legs; 1) pushing of the Shia messianic vision, 2)spending (or appearing to spend) money on the poor, and 3) the support of the mullahs. This does not mean that his path is strewn with roses or that he can tiptoe through the tulips to overthrow American dominance in the Middle East.

In this article, I examined some of these issues.

Daniel Dana's web-site deals with the very real internal opposition the Iranian regime and would be empire faces. The opposition he highlights at his web-site is from students and those allied with students. It should be borne in mind that the students in Iran are often rich or the children of the rich, and they are the children of the secular financial elites who keep the mullahs going. An article in the Washington Times that is no longer available at its web-site examines the real financial problems that the Iranian regime faces. One man, a Mr. Ghaninejad, was one of 13 experts in economics who warned, in two petitions to the government just before Mr. Ahmadinejad was elected, that his populist, short-term policies would spell disaster for Iran in the long term.

"Now he's throwing money at complex problems and just doesn't care about the long term. He thinks he should help the poor today and leave everything else to the Hidden Imam, the newspaper editor said, referring to a character whom Shiites believe will one day emerge to bring justice to the world," said Mr. Ghaninejad.

The article went to say that in the opinion of many, the mullahs, who also listen to the members of the financial elite, even if they do not necessarily like them, will give Ahmadinejad a year or so to pursue his policies before pulling the rug out from under him.
So, in building his empire, Ahmadinejad must face the fact that one of the legs his regime is relying on is rather shaky; the support of the mullahs with ties to financial leaders in the country.

Now we get to the real questions raised by that trip down memory lane a few paragraphs ago. How is Ahmadinejad pursuing this strategy of deferring a war? And once we see this, then the question arises, what is
on the chopping block as the price of deferral?

Iranians Abroad

The Boston Globe reports on former Iranian President Khatami's visit to Harvard, where he told a packed auditorium that,  "'Today we are faced with an astounding situation that seriously threatens both the East and the West,' he warned a packed and mostly welcoming audience. 'One should not engage in violence in the name of any religion, just as one should not and ought not turn the world into one's military camp in the name of democracy.'"

This article is entitled, "Khatami urges U.S., Iran, to use restraint." And what is the restraint all about?  In this case, forcing Iran to abandon its ambitions to establish a nuclear "force de frappé" in the Middle East. Put simply, Khatami is trying to get the U.S. to ease off Iran so that it can get more powerful.

What was really interesting is what Khatami said at the National Cathedral on 7 September. according to CNN, Khatami said that he "absolutely" does not believe that Jews are different from other humans, but some Christians and Jews consider themselves superior to others and commit crimes in the name of religion, much like Muslim extremists.

The phrasing here is very interesting because it was not in the text of the speech released to the Episcopal Church of America, his hosts at the National Cathedral in Washington.

Jews are human. In other words, Khatami granted this status graciously upon us at this speech, much the way a Nazi would. Nazis believed that Jews were human too, just for the record. They called us a "Gegenrasse", a race set against mankind, arguing that there could not be two chosen races at once, a Jewish one and an Aryan one. Do note that the name Iran was adopted by the Empire of Persia to affirm its relationship with the Aryan race. When you listen to Ahmadinejad talk about how there was no murder of millions of Jews in Europe, and how we should be done in and gotten rid of like yesterday's trash, it tells me that the association with Aryan still has a large amount of resonance in Farsi society. Notice also that Khatami did not say Israelis were human, he said Jews.

That also tells me who is on the chopping block of Iran's plan to defer war with the United States. We Jews are.

Not just us, though; all of Lebanon that is not Shia as well. And just to be clear, when Khatami said "Jews were human," he was referring to all of us - the butcher in New Jersey who said he sold kosher meat when it wasn't, along with the little pathetic fellow who does the crooked real estate deals here, Olmert, as well as people like me.

All of us. Has there indeed been a deal made to defer fighting between America and Iran, with us here on the chopping block as the price of the deferral?

War Will Come From The North-1st of 3 Articles

  • This is the first of three articles that Blogocritics published concerning the Mid-East in concert with Desicrits, a web site with its main focus on Southeast Asia.  Due to the length of the articles, the 2nd and 3rd articles will be published over the next two days.  This is certainly something you will never hear from the American media.  The 3rd article contains some very surprising and controversial projections and predictions for the American elections up until the swearing in of the 110th Congress.
Article from Blogocritics

Published September 06, 2006

On 4 September, Debkafiles reported a huge buildup of military forces off the Mediterranean that appears to be continuing as I write this two days later.

DEBKAfile’s’ editors call the article, “’Lebanese Security’ Is the Pretext for the Naval Babel around Lebanon's Shores.” Someone who lives here should pay close attention to military buildups nearby, particularly of foreign forces. So I do.

According to the article, the buildup of naval forces off Lebanon is far greater than what ought to be required for the beefed up “UNIFIL” of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The article lists the following forces gathering off of Lebanon: “two carriers with 75 fighter-bombers, spy planes and helicopters on their decks; 15 warships of various types - 7 French, 5 Italian, 2-3 Greek, 3-5 German, and five American; thousands of Marines - French, Italian and German, as well as 1,800 US Marines.” Supposedly, this is for the implementation of the resolution cited above. But is it?

DEBKAfiles speculates that an assault on Iran and Syria is being prepared for with the United States and Israel working together with the international force off Lebanon’s shores. One should remember that DEBKAfiles was founded by former Israeli intelligence types and often serves as a sort of backdoor for what the Mossad (Israel’s spy organization) wants to leak to the media. DEBKAfiles is not always on the money with its prognostications, though its analyses of past events tend to be excellent. This is a prognostication, what the editors at DEBKAfiles believe will happen. If it is, then it would seem that it finally is occurring that the United States is openly recognizing Israel as a strategic ally, and planning a joint attack with her. I am not so sure. In my opinion, this is what the editors at DEBKAfiles want to believe will happen.

The article goes into what it believes may be the weakness of the operation, a split command. According to the article, “…the NATO fleet will remain under NATO command, and Israel's air and naval units will take their orders from Israeli Navy Headquarters in Haifa and the General Staff in Tel Aviv.”

Wow! Israel gets to command its own fleet in a joint international military attack on Syria and Iran? If I were a former Mossadnik, I’d certainly want this!

But let's back up and consider U.S.-Israeli history. George Marshall, Secretary of State in November 1947, told Harry Truman point blank that the creation of a Jewish state in the Middle East was a strategic mistake. He was so adamant on this that when Truman overruled his judgment, he quit his job. The United States' State Department always maintained this view, and its program has been to weaken Israel over the years in order to ameliorate the error, using various stratagems to accomplish the task. In 1948-9, the stratagem was to be a “neutral non-combatant” refusing to sell arms to “either side” in the conflict, effectively boycotting Israel as other nations were selling arms to the Arabs. In 1967 and 1973 the stratagems were the threat “you’ll be on your own.” In 1967, this didn’t work. Israel went alone and attacked – and won spectacularly.

In 1973, the Israeli government quailed before American threats and waited for the attack on Yom Kippur. The Israeli government relied on the promises of a Jewish Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, assuming that he would come through on the arms package agreed to resupply the country as it lost jets, missiles, and tanks. It turned out that Kissinger, even though he was Jewish, was following the State Department handbook of weaken and destroy Israel. It was James Schlesinger who told the president why the Israelis were losing in 1973, and Nixon confronted Kissinger and demanded that the arms resupply package be delivered.

Independently, Alexander Haig, on his own authority, ordered TOW anti-tank missiles for the Israelis and had Israelis flown in to learn how to use them. It was these TOW missiles that stopped the Arab tanks in their track in the Sinai and in the Heights of Golan and which prevented this country being overrun by Syria in the north and Egypt in the south. John Loftus was a duty officer who helped train the Israeli officers and saw this himself. The price for Israel was almost 3,000 dead, a diplomatic defeat following a hard won military victory – and the effective loss of its sovereignty.

This was followed by a peace treaty with Egypt that cost Israel the Sinai Peninsula and gave Arabs everywhere hope that they could defeat and eliminate Israel. This was followed by the “Madrid Conference” in 1991, which was the last time a sovereign prime minister of this country acted like one. Prime Minister Shamir accused the Syrian across the table of being a terrorist, and the Syrian accused him of being one in return (Shamir was involved in the assassination of Swedish diplomat Count Bernadotte in Egypt in 1949). That broke up the meeting.

After the Likud was defeated in 1992 and Shamir retired came the “Oslo Accords” – a plan directed at all times by the White House, even though it feigned total surprise at its development – sealed with the infamous handshake between Prime Minister Rabin and Yassir Arafat. Part of the Oslo Accords has been a plan to delegitimize the settlement of Judea and Samaria in the eyes of other Israelis and a quieter plan to kill off the leadership of the towns and villages here. Along with the Oslo Accords came the notion that Israeli weaponry should be essentially the same as American weaponry and local development of most weapons was abandoned. Thus American “aid” became a tool to force Israel to be totally dependent on the United States for arms. Finally, on top of all this, came the Gush Qatif expulsion of Jewish citizens last year, establishing the precedent that the Israeli Army was to be nothing more than a band of Hebrew speaking Cossacks in the employ of the government.

All this was promoted by George Bush the elder, Bill Clinton, and George Bush the younger and their respective Secretaries of State – all of them. Against nearly sixty years of anti-Israel policy, such a turn-around, making Israel an open ally in front of the entire world, including even the Europeans, is hard for me to believe.

Now let us return to today -- the person called prime minister here these days, Ehud Olmert, led a war at the behest of the United States to weaken or to destroy HizbAllah. He was elected on a program of further weakening this country by robbing it of any strategic depth by pulling out of Judea and Samaria altogether. But what little credibility he might have had as the head of a political party of thieves hiding behind what was originally Ariel Sharon’s fat arse to avoid indictment has been blown entirely. With Sharon rotting away in a bed, incompetent fools did all the wrong things in trying to root out an enemy. And now Olmert has had to put his program of ousting Jews from their homes on hold.

If you were an American leader, would you trust this idiot? Would you trust the amateurs who led the IDF to defeat? I wouldn’t, and apparently the Americans don’t. David Wilder recently wrote an article “The Bullet’s in the Chamber” dealing with his views on how Mr. Olmert will soon have to move his belongings out of the premier’s residence. Quoting DEBKAfile’s Hebrew site, he points to an article there where the American government evaluates the Israeli government as, well, lacking in ability. The last sentence of the article allegedly quotes George Bush as having said, “Those Israelis, they're not what we thought.”

So, Israel is definitely not going in on a joint attack of Syria or Iran. Not under Olmert and his crew of jokers – if something happened to Olmert and Peres became prime minister, maybe. Even then, I doubt it.

The original DEBKAfile article quoted here goes on at length about the French naval carrier Charles DeGaulle, and how it is equipped to hold an entire army for months on end. Would the French invade Iran? That seems hardly likely. But the ship is not off Lebanon’s waters for a vacation cruise. A Frenchman doesn’t need to go to Lebanon for a Mediterranean vacation. Besides, August, the traditional month for French vacations, is over.

So, what is going on?

In an article published at this on-line magazine last year, I made five predictions. It’s now nine months into the year 2006, and ten months since I made my predictions. Let’s take a look at them again. Well, let’s look at the first four anyway.

In making the first three of them, I was following the ideas of the two leading m'kubalim in the country, a point I referred to in the article.

1. If the elections are held, Sharon will wind up as prime minister. Here, I'm only following the words of the two m'kubalim.
2. Whether elections are held or not, Sharon will remain prime minister. Again, I'm only following the words of the two m'kubalim. I don't take elections for granted. Too many things can happen to upset the "natural" order of events.
3. Sharon will leave office, for some reason or another, during 2006.
4. During the next year, we will see the rising visibility of American and European soldiers in this country. This only follows the trend of events here. There are five American bases, and an increasing number of EU soldiers here.

I missed the first prediction. Sharon’s stroke made it impossible that he would wind up as prime minister. But the second one was closer. Until Olmert was actually sworn in and took the oath of office, he was temporary acting prime minister, and Sharon remained prime minister. Sharon left office in 2006.

Now we come to the interesting prediction of the four, as this had no m’kubal to back up my words. This was mine, and mine alone.

And this is what I think we are seeing in this force off the shores of Lebanon. Olmert can’t effectively carry out the program he was elected on. At some point soon, he will get the brilliant idea (as someone feeds him the lines) that an international force in Judea and Samaria is just what the doctor ordered…

Stupid is as Stupid Does

                                               "What, What?

According to all the media...after three weeks of bashing George Allen for the use of the word "macaca" and even longer on  Foley's  emails...which was totally legitimate according to them...they now claim Republicans are now using a smear campaign concerning Kerry's remarks.  Keith Olberman's defense of Kerry has to be the most convoluted of all.  He said the White House was too stupid to realize they were being called stupid and it is really all their fault  for being that stupid.  Huh?

The Democrats have to be furious this morning...ain't it grand?

The Liberal Teacher

A first grade teacher explains to her class that she is a liberal Democrat.
She asks her students to raise their hands if they were liberal Democrats too.  Not really knowing what a liberal Democrat was, but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks.

There is, however, one exception. A girl named Lucy has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I'm not a liberal Democrat."

Then, asks the teacher, what are you? "Why I'm a proud conservative
Republican.", boasts the little girl.

The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Lucy
why she is a conservative Republican.

"Well, I was brought up to trust in myself instead of relying on an intrusive
government to care for me and do all of my thinking. My Dad and Mom are conservative Republicans, and I am a conservative Republican too."

The teacher is now angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?”

A pause, and a smile. "Then," says Lucy, "I'd be a liberal Democrat.”

Pelosi & Illegals

Just Doing Jobs Americans Won't Do?
Laguna Beach, CA

Another Reconquista shows his loyalty to Mexico. As an American flag was raised in front of him he routinely gave it the finger.

And they say they are just coming here to work?

This guy deserves deportation...

Not an American job!

Nancy Pelosi – who owns non-union vineyards in Napa Valley where grape-picking depends chiefly on the availability of cheap foreign labor – is doing everything she can to help open the floodgates to more illegal immigration.  And she wants the American taxpayers to pay their way.  As even more proof of this, Pelosi does not want employers like her to be required to pay the cost of illegal aliens’ hospital care.  She voted against a bill that would make employers liable for the reimbursements if an undocumented employee seeks medical attention.  And she voted in favor of rewarding illegal aliens from Mexico with Social Security benefits.

At the same time, Pelosi has led the Democratic opposition to any effective border controls or documentation requirements.  She opposed the Secure Fence Act of 2006, signed into law by President Bush, and voted against final passage of a border security and enforcement bill in 2005 which required that all businesses must use an electronic system to check if all new hires have the legal right to work in this country.  She voted against a bill to bar drivers' licenses for illegal aliens in 2005.  This year she opposed legislation requiring presentation of a legitimate government-issued photo ID to prove eligibility to vote, claiming that “there is little evidence anywhere in the country of a significant problem with non-citizen voters.”  She is dead wrong.  For example, an accused terrorist by the name of Nuradin Abdi was just recently reported to have illegally registered to vote at the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.  Nuradin Abdi was indicted earlier this year as part of a conspiracy to blow up the Columbus Mall.

She continues to advocate our recognition of the flimsy, non-validated ID card that the Mexican consulates provide to illegal aliens before they cross over our border, called the “matricula consular”, which gives them phony documentation to set up bank accounts, apply for jobs, obtain social benefits, board airplanes, identify themselves to police, enter buildings that require IDs, obtain drivers’ licenses and then perhaps use those drivers’ licenses to try to illegally register to vote in our elections.

Pelosi also believes in giving sanctuary to illegal aliens.  She opposed legislation to deny federal homeland security funding to state and local governments who refuse to share information they learn about an individual's immigration status with Federal immigration authorities.  Pelosi’s hometown of San Francisco is one of the sanctuary cities she voted to protect for the benefit of illegal aliens.  Pelosi even voted against strengthening our immigration law with regard to the deportability of alien terrorists.

Democrats aren’t just hypocrites, but are working actively to subvert our legislative system to their own ends. Their only goal is votes, votes and more votes, no matter where they come from, no matter if they’re cast legally, no matter whether the person casting them is dead, alive, a citizen or an illegal alien."

She can count on the liberal press to distort and ignore questions about her motivations for helping illegal aliens during the run-up to the mid-term elections that may make her the next Speaker of the House.

What If ?

Let’s play what if.  We suppose for a moment that the “anti-Bush” crowd got their wish.  Perhaps he, along with Cheney and Rumsfeldt and all of their war-support minions were suddenly taken out…the method is irrelevant…for the purposes of hypothecation.  What then?

Nothing…that’s right, nothing!  Jihadists are still there, Kim Jong Il is still there and the Iranian nukes are still there.  Islamist fanaticism from Asia to the Balkans to Northern England would still continue with no let up.  One morning, we wake to the news on TV and see smoke and flames on this side of the Atlantic much to President Hilary’s amazement.  Thus, this irrational Bush hatred is crazy, narrow minded and divisive.  World history is marching right down our throats and the “anti-Bush” crowd refuses to acknowledge it.

We are in the midst of an ideological struggle on a grand scale and a large number of Americans are not taking it seriously.

Truth Can't Be Marginalized

The following is a quote from Neal Gabler on Fox News Watch:
  • "The media has tread lightly on Rush and his criticism of [Michael J.] Fox. To my mind, Rush is a cancer to America and hate mongers are marginalized, and why the media does not marginalize Rush, I don't know.”
My response to this is, Mr. Gabler truth can not be marginalized and Rush speaks the truth.  Your brand of truth is very selective according to whatever scripted response and expediency the Liberals have accorded to an event or issue.  It must make your job so much easier when you don’t have to think about what you are going to say.  I must also say that you and the Liberals did an excellent job of obfuscating the real issue of embryonic stem cell research funding by deflecting it onto Rush’s comments.

With you and the joke they have saddled Sean Hannity with and Mort Kondracke on The Beltway Boys,  I already know that what you say is just going to be a repeat of whatever is in the New York Times or WaPo that day.

You wonder why Rush is not marginalized…I wonder why Fox still. employs you.

Democrats & Victimization

Democrats continue to use the victimization strategy as a means of diverting attention from a real issue and sway voter opinion against anyone questioning the motives of the so-called victim.  Yesterday, I had an opportunity to witness first-hand how effectively the strategy works.  While having lunch at a local restaurant, I overheard the conversation going on at the table next to me between two men and the opening remark  was , “Can you believe Rush Limbaugh attacked that poor guy with Parkinson’s disease?”  In the interest of brevity, I will not recount the entire conversation, but before long…there were a total of five people including one of the waitresses whom I know personally, were engaged in a conversation about how cruel it is to attack someone with an awful disease.  Never was the issue of stem cell research mentioned as the reason for the Limbaugh comments.

I knew the waitress and one of the other conversationalists and I could take it no longer.  Knowing their position already, I asked them if they now supported abortion.  Three of them vehemently said no.  So, I asked, “Well perhaps you should check your facts and realize that Michael J. Fox was asking for federal funding for a program that kills embryos…?  I went on to explain the difference in adult stem cell research and what Fox is supporting…embryonic stem cell research…and his motive for doing so is political support of a Democrat running for the U.S. Senate.

I have no idea if what I said made a whit of a difference, however, I left with a fuller understanding of the victimization strategy that Democrats use that is based entirely on disingenuous, obfuscation of an issue and how very important it is that Republicans get a counter-point out to the voters when it is used.

Wish I Had Said That

  • This is one those letters that I read and say to myself, “I wish I had said that.”
The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster and Associates in Atlanta. She's been in business since 1980 doing interior design and home planning. She recently wrote a letter to a family member serving in Iraq.

"Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?
Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9 /11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - - I don't care ! ! ! ! !
