I went to dinner recently with some friends and they had another couple with them. The lady was very well dressed and made a remark that she liked Hugo Chavez because he was doing so much for the poor. I was on my best behavior, so I didn't ask her about Fidel Castro who also cares so much for the poor.
All over the world, Marxists love the poor. They love them so much they create more and more of them all the time. Take Zimbabwe, noted Marxist, Robert Mugabe has pretty much destroyed that country and created more poverty. I wonder how long it's gonna take South Africa, which is considering implementing the same land "reforms" as Zimbabwe, to go down the tubes?
Take a look at the Germanys during the Cold War. West Germany had a vibrant capitalist economy. East Germany's economy was so bad that they had to build a wall to keep their people in. That's how to tell what works. Look where the people want to live. Cuba, that wonderful country with free education and free health care should be turning away immigrants. I remember reading a letter to the editor in the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation about how much better Cuba was than the United States because of the free health care and education. I wanted to ask the writer why she didn't move to Cuba. Instead, there are Cubans who brave the shark infested waters of the Florida Straits on rafts and leaky boats to try to make it to America.
Marxist countries have to build walls to keep people in. The mean old United States needs to build a wall to keep people out. Of course we know how much Dimocrats love the poor. Look at N’awlins. When Bush and Cheney unleashed the Halliburton Hurricane Generator to create Katrina they aimed it right at N’awlins. Then after it struck, they blew up the levees to drown all the poor blacks in N’awlins. Of course Bush and Cheney knew the blacks wouldn't be able to fend for themselves because they had been conditioned to look to the gummint for everything. Dimocrat social policies had created multi-generational dependents who relied on gummint for everything. Then these folks elected and re-elected incompetents like Mayor As*hole and Governor Useless.
Yep! Dimocrats love the poor. They vote Dimocrat. Keep 'em poor and keep 'em on the Dimocrat plantation. If poverty is eradicated, the Dimocrats would lose most of their base. Can't have that happen. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the other poverty pimps would have to find real jobs.
