source U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan called Monday on the Iraqi government to do more to foster national unity, warning that the violence-ridden country was in "grave danger" of collapsing into civil war. He also urged more "urgent international engagement," saying a lack of sufficient support would "guarantee" the failure of efforts to secure peace.
Remark: The Sunnis and Shiites have been at war with each other since 931 AD regarding who is the rightful successor to Muhammad. No amount of support, negotiation, peace agreements or Mr.Annan’s call for “more urgent international agreement” is going to change that fact. Both of these sects are far beyond such “power of reason.” None of this will be solved until the second coming of Christ and the battle of Armageddon . I suppose by saying this…the left would jump all over me for being a Christian fascist or whatever name-calling is in vogue for them now.
